What’s the story?
In May, Meda client Ideal System Solutions (Ideal) was awarded a 10-year “Everything IT” government-wide contract with a maximum value of $20 billion by the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC).
To announce this landmark award, Ideal System Solutions and Meda, along with Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton and U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken, held a news conference to announce this significant award and what it means for Minnesota, the economy and our community.
Ideal has been working with Meda’s Minority Business Development Agency offices in Minnesota and Washington, DC over the past six years to grow the business. Meda’s business solutions helped Ideal secure certifications, develop and execute growth strategies and identify opportunities for government agencies introductions.

What does this mean for the community?
Ideal is the only Minnesota-based, Hispanic, woman-owned business to be among 65 companies awarded this contract. This contract puts Ideal on a level playing field with major IT companies, such as Hewlett-Packard and AT&T Corp.The contract will allow Ideal to expand and add jobs to the company while positioning itself to move from a small business subcontractor into a prime contractor.
